What, in your opinion, is the perfect tortilla? Is it sweet? Light? Grainy? How about low-carb? Yep, you better believe it, La Tortilla Factory manufactured a tortilla made with soy flour, so it has hardly any carbs and a protein boost! Here are the details:

Ingredients:
Water, Oat flour, Whole wheat flour, Soy flour, Vital wheat gluten, Expeller Pressed Canola Oil, Contains less than 2% of each of the following: Aluminum free leavening (Sodium acid pyrophosphate, Sodium Bicarbonate, Corn starch, Monocalcium Phosphate), Sea salt, Guar gum, Citric acid, Yeast, Xanthan gum, L-cysteine, to maintain freshness (Sorbic acid, Calcium propionate).

I’m not likin’ the long list of chemicals at the end of the ingredients list, but with 12 grams of fiber, 8 grams of protein, and only 80 calories, a “smart & delicious” tortilla can be a healthier option. Taste wise: They are a bit gritty and could use some oil in them to cut the dryness, but they have a good, hearty, wheat-y flavor. They’re about 9” in diameter, so the perfect size to wrap up a snack or a small lunch.

Speaking of food, why don’t I post my breakfast from today? :P

This one’s a classic. I used to eat it every day. Here we have: a base of oats with flax, microwaved with a sliced banana, so the banana gets all caramelized. Then I add a healthy helping of peanut butter and voila! Breakfast is served.

Enjoy your day! I’m going boating! :D
